The Usual (2018)

The Usual is a comedy horror short that was shot in 2018. The film focuses on an actor names Pat (Eoghan Regan), an actor with a leading role in a broad sitcom called ‘The Publican’. One evening he is watching the latest episode of the show and attempting to write out some notes for how to improve it. He isn’t having much luck so he starts to have a few drinks to ease the viewing experience. Suddenly his sitcom character tries to escape the sitcom reality and enter the real world by escaping through the TV screen. The film made its debut at the Firehouse Film contest in February 2019 where it won ‘The Technical Award’. It will have a festival run through summer of 2019.
